They are made to be comfortable, breathable and immersive

You wouldn't expect a company called Cooler Master to launch anything besides coolers and maybe desktop cases, but here we are, looking at a pair of audio headsets, of all things.

Then again, Cooler Master entered the gaming peripheral market quite some time ago, so it has been some time since it was exclusively a case/cooler maker.

The two new products to leave its labs contain “a booming power infused sound to keep gamers in tune with in-game actions.”

Which is to say, the CM Storm Ceres combine both high-quality hardware and aesthetically pleasing looks.

Well, the aesthetically pleasing part will ultimately depend on people's preferences, but CM seems to have played things safe, going for an over-ear, black design.

Spec-wise, the 40 mm drivers are the most essential components, producing clear sound wherever you happen to be.

A microphone is included as well, though it is detachable, in case you don't intend to communicate while playing something. Said microphone is flexible and omni-directional.

Ceres-300 and Ceres-500 are “the choice for gamers that need the adrenaline rush and quality of the professional gaming arena contained in a competitively priced package,” according to Cooler Master.

Ceres-500, as the better of the two, can switch between PC and console modes and has an amplifier in addition to the drivers.

It is also foldable, and has a swivel ear cup design that lets it be stored and transported easily between LAN parties.

Ceres-300 has a glossy finish and padded cushions with adjustable headband, but not foldability apparently.

Cooler Master hasn't published the prices for neither audio output device. Presumably, they will be different from region to region.

I won’t suggest you wait for them though. Praised as they may be, they aren't, ultimately, all that different from all other gaming headsets out there.
