The power supply is what allows a computer to operate, since it provides the electricity to every single hardware component.

It is important to have one with enough energy to cope with the hardware, and maybe have some to spare.

But buy one that is too powerful and you'll be spending cash needlessly.

Cooler Master has released a line of PSUs that travel the middle ground.

Called G-Series, they come in 500W (G500), 600W (G600) and 700W (G700).

All of them are 80 Plus Certified, have active PFC and use single 12V rail topology with high DC out support up to 55A/660W (G700), allowing them to fuel the highest-end video cards.

Sales will start in August, with prices of €59,95 / $59.95 to €79.95 / $79.95.

The G-Series have multiple protections (Voltage-Protections, Current-Protections, Short Circuit Protection and Temperature-Protection), nine SATA connectors (six on G500/G600) and three Molex connectors.
