Checking out the inner workings of every new Apple device is cool enough, but having them as wallpapers on your iPhone is unheard of. Also is the “buy zero, get two free promotion” over at iFixit, which now offers up these two beautiful wallpapers depicting the iPhone 4 gyroscope and the phone’s internals at a glance.

“This morning we published a teardown of the iPhone 4’s vibrational gyroscope,” iFixit wrote on June 30. The next day, Softpedia covered the story, revealing to its readers that the iPhone 4 uses a microscopic, electronic version of a vibrational gyroscope, called a MEMS gyroscope. “We tried our best to explain how vibrational gyroscopes function and have documented their internals at a microscopic level,” the repair shop continues to say on its blog.

“The pictures were worth a thousand words. Everyone was thrilled to see Chipworks‘ images of vibrational gyroscopes, and one user even made an iPhone wallpaper out of them,” iFixit adds. “We loved the idea ‘gyroscope wallpaper’ idea [sic], so we re-created the same wallpaper for everyone to enjoy, and included an ‘iPhone 4 Internals’ wallpaper to boot,” the post reads.

The respective wallpapers are then being offered up for grabs. You can also get them immediately, from our report. Just click on the two images to the left to enlarge them, save them to your computer and then sync your device. They should appear in your Photos gallery.

Alternately, users can just direct their iPhone’s Safari web browser to iFixit’s blog here and follow the instructions to save the two wallpapers. Although the images have been scaled to fit perfectly on the iPhone 4 screen, “iPhone 2G, 3G & 3GS users, do not fret — the images are 2:3 ratio and will look just fine on your phones,” iFixit notes.
