When it comes down to integrated watercooling solutions, CoolIT is one of the most important manufacturers that come to my mind, so AMD fans now have a important reason to rejoice since the company has just announced they will fully support AMD Phenom II X6 1090T processors as well as ATI Radeon HD 5970 GPUs in their Advanced Liquid Cooling line.

So, in order to demonstrate the power of its watercooling systems, CoolIT has built a demo PC that has been safely overclocked to over 4GHz on the six core CPU and all four GPU’s have been overclocked to 1GHz, this system being showcased during AMD Technical Forum and Exhibition in Taipei, Taiwan.

“AMD has raised the bar for affordable performance in the new AMD Phenom II X6 processor with advanced capabilities like its Turbo Core Technology, and the ATI Radeon HD 5970 continues its position as the fastest single video card in the world.

When you combine these computing technologies with CoolIT Systems’ high-performance Advanced Liquid Cooling line, the user experiences significant gains in both performance and acoustics,” said Geoff Lyon, CEO of CoolIT Systems.

As a result of this announcement, Newegg will sell the CoolIT Systems Eco-R Water Cooler at a special price if bought together with an AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition or AMD Phenom II X6 1055T processor, this promotion being available throughout October.

Although CoolIT choose AMD's Technical Forum and Exhibition in order to emphasize their support for AMD's built solutions, it's important to note that all companies products were already compatible with an important number of processors, CoolIT's universal retention systems providing out of the box support for AMD as well as Intel sockets (Intel 775, 1156, 1366 and AMD AM2, AM2+, AM3).

The Omni A.L.C. watercooler, that was used for cooling the two ATI Radeon HD 5970 GPUs, is also compatible with HD 5870 graphics cards as well as GTX470 and GTX480 solutions built by Nvidia.
