Here is one concept device that outdoor activities enthusiasts will surely like, especially if they happen to also be fans of green energy sources.

The device, dubbed Torchia, is the brainchild of designer Hakan Gürsu. As noticeable in the picture above, it is about the size of an A3 sheet of paper.

It comprises several photovoltaic panels fitted on four wings, and it is intended to make it possible for people to charge their gadgets and gizmos while on the go by harvesting sun power.

According to Trend Hunter, Torchia charges electricity-hungry devices via two USB outputs.

What's more, it is fitted with as many as 7 LED lights of 3.5 watts each, and can double as a light source when circumstances demand it.

Interestingly enough, it would appear that the light that this concept device emits can be either flashing or stable.

This means that, apart from providing people with a reliable light source, Torchia can also prove useful in emergency situations by flashing light as a warning.

Hakan Gürsu's concept device also sports several foldable stakes on its bottom. This means that folks can easily secure it into soft ground, and do not have to worry that strong winds will turn it topsy-turvy.
