Classic arcade full of bugs

Maybe game developers are running out of ideas for new games, as every week they try to revive a classic game. This week was the turn of Contra, that side-scrolling shoot'em up.

I don't know what Microsoft was thinking to release this 1987 Konami game on their Xbox Live Arcade. Supposedly, you could opt between a basic version of the game and a version with enhanced graphic features. The game is priced at 400 Microsoft points (bit pricey if you were to ask me).

But imagine paying the 400 points for the game and then realizing that it's broken. Consider yourself lucky if you didn't experience this kind of trouble as some of us have. Destructoid reports a Contra mishap that took place while two players were going head to head in a multiplayer game.

One of them was shooting at the tower, while the other one saw that the first had died and got a game over. So, looks like Contra is experiencing some big issues. The two players quickly photographed their screens, only to confront the two pictures later, and yes, you've guessed, they showed two different scenarios.

Maybe Microsoft should think twice about releasing a classic game with so many bugs in it. Don't they have any beta testers?
