Chinese lighting manufacturer CononMark has recently announced that the Leopard K4S TTL monolight has passed the testing phase and is now shipping the first samples to retailers and reviewers.

After Profoto announced back in November the world's first studio grade cordless flash with TTL capabilities, CononMark began testing on its own TTL monolight.

Although CononMark's Leopard K4S is designed for outdoor use, the flash doesn't come with a weatherproof construction. Moreover, the K4S packs a 3G trigger compatible with Nikon i-TTL and Canon E-TTL systems, which has an effective operating range of 100m / 328 ft.

In addition to that, the new CononMark flash also supports high-speed sync of up to 1/8000 of a second or lower, giving you the upper edge when needing to shoot in brightly lit areas. Power intensity can also be adjusted in FP mode from FP -10 minimum power to FP +50 maximum power in 11 steps.

Speaking of power, Leopard K4S comes with 400Ws of light, giving you enough power to grab the perfect shot even in sunny conditions. The 9 f-stop output range of the strobe can also be controlled in 1/10 f-stop increments, providing enhanced control and versatility.

When it comes to recycle time, the CononMark Leopard K4S can be shot in 3.2 seconds if used at full power and instantaneously when set at lower power settings, allowing up to 20 flashes per second.

If auto doesn't fit your needs, K4S can also be adjusted in manual mode down to 1/128 of its entire power in 1/3 stop increments. The flash head measures 140mm x 90mm and weighs a little under 1kg / 2.2lbs. The smaller K4 version is even more compact, at 110mm x 90mm, weighs 736g / 1.62lbs and it’s rated at 390Ws.

CononMark is yet to announce pricing and availability for the new Leopard K4S TTL monolight. More information about the new K4S monolight can be found on the company's Alibaba store page. (via LightingRumors)
