Police are starting to identify the victims in the deadly crash in a residential neighborhood in Connecticut. The man piloting the plane, Bill Henningsgaard, has been killed in the incident.

Henningsgaard was a former vice president at Microsoft, US News reported. His son was in the plane with him, and has also been killed. Earlier reports mention a second passenger, the state of whom is not known at this point.

The single-engine propeller plane took off from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey and it was attempting a landing at Tweed New Haven Airport.

It was losing altitude before it crashed, but Henningsgaard never issued a distress call. Two homes were destroyed in the crash and two children died in one of the houses.

One of them was one year old while the other was 13 years old, and they were both at home with their mother who survived the incident.
