A well placed source has confirmed for Softpedia that Apple is on track to launch iPhone 4 in several new territories tomorrow, including Romania, via Orange, and The Philippines, through Globe Telecom. Pricing and contract details are unknown, as of yet.

Various reports have emerged this week saying that Apple was on track to launch its iPhone 4 in several new countries. Those included Israel, Malaysia, South Africa, and, Turkey, the latter also being put down for September 24 shipments.

After speaking to a very reliable source, Softpedia, for its part, can say with certainty that the iPhone 4 is launching in Romania and The Philippines on September 24, if everything goes according to schedule.

Apple is yet to issue an official statement regarding the new territories scheduled to receive its next-generation handset.

China is the only territory Apple Inc. has, so far, confirmed as the destination of iPhone 4 shipments this week.

The smartphone is to arrive there on September 25, at Apple retail stores including the new Apple Store Hong Kong Plaza in Shanghai, and the new Apple Store Xidan Joy City in Beijing opening on the same day, according to the official announcement from Cupertino.

Despite hardware and software related issues - including the “Antennagate” fiasco, widespread problems with the proximity sensor, and several iOS-related flaws - Apple’s iPhone 4 has buyers queuing up by the hundreds to grab their own unit and take it home.

Moreover, the device adds a number of features enabled both through new hardware (dual cameras, gyroscope, the Retina Display etc.), and through software (iOS 4 with Face Time, HD video recording, HDR photos, Game Center, new iTunes functionality, and more).

It is also unknown which iOS version these handsets will ship in the newly-confirmed destinations.

However, since these devices are landing weeks after Apple’s release of iOS 4.1, it is reasonable to assume they will be carrying the latest version of the operating system.
