Kaspersky Lab's Anti-Spam 3.0 has recently received the anti-spam certification from ICSA Labs which underlines the fact that the application is really efficient when it comes to blocking unsolicited email traffic. The ICSA Labs certification is only granted to security applications that manage to discover more than 95 percent of spam with a 1 in 100,000 false positive rate, according to a press release published by Kaspersky Lab. Kaspersky Anti-Spam 3.0 is one of the six products that managed to pass the first tests.

"Today anti-spam solutions have become an integral and vital element of a comprehensive protection against internet threats. That's why common criteria and standards for estimating the quality of anti-spam solutions are becoming increasingly important for the entire IT threats-protection industry and our end-users" said Eugene Kaspersky, CEO of Kaspersky Lab.

"I am glad to state that the Consortium succeeded in developing a comprehensive set of impartial criteria for testing anti-spam products, and our solution Kaspersky Anti-Spam 3.0 passed all of the certification tests, based on these criteria, with honor".

Although the security market is currently leaded by multiple companies, Kaspersky Lab has managed to reach an important number of users by releasing high-quality products which received multiple awards and received the most appreciated certifications on the market. For instance, according to Wikipedia, Kaspersky Lab was included in the "Red Herring 100 Europe" top created by the Red Herring magazine which include the companies "that play a leading role in innovation and technology"

Kaspersky Lab is based in Moscow, Russia and in August 2007 had no less than 600 employees. In 2006, the company reported revenues of $85.3 million and a net income of $67.3 million.
