Conduit has announced an update to its mobile offerings which allow publishers to create one mobile app that is suitable for all major platforms. Today, the Apple iPad has been added into the mix.

A complete solution for creating, publishing, promoting and managing mobile and browser applications, the updated Conduit Mobile platform allows publishers to deploy mobile applications to the iPad, in addition to all major smartphones and web browsers.

“When creating a mobile app on the platform, an optimized iPad version is automatically created as well,” Conduit explains. “These Conduit-powered apps, created to work on mobile devices as well as iPads, will feature enhanced graphics suited for the relevant Apple device.”

The iPad versions of the apps will boast customized styling, as well as social functionality to connect more deeply with one another from within the app itself, this being another major addition to the Conduit Mobile platform.

Apps created with Conduit Mobile automatically generate a custom app page that is immediately available online with screenshots of the app, a QR code for quick download, links to the marketplaces that host the app, and an option to send an e-mail with the app’s address, Conduit said.

There will also be a browser version of each app, also advertised on that very web page.

“Our mission is to provide our publishers with engagement tools for every platform on which their users spend time. Tablet usage is growing exponentially, it was only natural that we be able to extend the power of the Conduit Mobile platform to the iPad,” said Conduit President Adam Boyden.

“The addition of tablet support and the recent addition of website solutions via the acquisition of Wibiya, provide our publishers with an unmatched set of resources for acquiring and engaging their users.”
