We are all regular users of Wikipedia, the free open-sourced online encyclopedia that offers definitions for pretty much everything on this planet, but sometimes you just want to know the basic idea of what something is, and long explanations are simply frustrating.

Well, a hilarious blog called TL;DR Wikipedia is trying to make our lives much easier by giving us shortened descriptions of things we might be interested in.

For those who are not familiar with the blog, TL;DR is an acronym that stands for “too long, didn’t read.” That's actually the basic idea behind the condensed version of Wikipedia – to provide accurate definitions in a significantly shorter format.

But besides explaining everything with just one sentence that is capable of perfectly telling the exact meaning, the guys behind the project also added a good dose of irony and humor when they formulated the shortened descriptions.

And honestly, who needs pages of information when one single sentence can explain everything? If you are one of those people who don't have time to read lengthy and complex explanations, then TL;DR Wikipedia is definitely an excellent source of information (and entertainment, I dare add) for you.

We have included some hilarious definitions below, but you can find many more of them at tldrwikipedia.tumblr.com.
