Tourfilter.com is by far one of the most useful web locations when you want to be in the know about what's going on in your area and what artists are coming over... and even better: when, where and for how much.

Just how many times you stayed at home or made other plans for the day just to find out that one artist you really wanted to know was in your area or worse, in your town and you had absolutely no idea? How many times have you subscribed to innumerable mailing lists of so many artists and concert organizers just to be informed in time when the events you wanted to go to would take place? Ever did that? I guess the answer is "No" because you either forgot or something else came up.

Well, Chris Marstall decided it was high time such crap ended and started a website to supply for such a need, which he actually did! Tourfilter is THE service for your artist-tour/concert needs. You just have to supply with a small amount of data and as soon as there is relevant info, Tourfilter informs you by means of e-mail.

Everything is free and the band/artist database is provided by entries coming directly from the visitors. You just type in the name of those which are of interest to you and they will be comprised in the field research! It's as easy as 1-2-3 and the owners of the website guarantee you no spam from them.

I have personally looked for some death metal bands and I was most pleased to find nice accurate data, as well as very cool additional info provided by the concert organizers and relating to the oncoming events/bands, venues and so on. From the big concerts to small venues such as clubs and pubs where people come and play, everything is nicely building up thanx to Chris's team dedication and the more and more gathering users.

At a wuthering pace of about 30 percent per month growth, Tourfilter expects around 120,000 unique visitors in April and looks confident in offering tracking for more than the 60 to 100 venues per city. As reported "Tourfilter's world map includes 24 metropolitan areas -- among them Dublin, Melbourne, London, Toronto and Vancouver -- and Marstall will add another 10 U.S. cities this spring."
