A small viewing port on the underside allows the view of the phone's screen

Seongho Kim's concept phone targets those people who want to keep the content on their mobile phone private and inaccessible to curious eyes, when traveling on public transport or in any other public and crowded place.

The New Vision of Mobile Devices concept phone allows you to actually keep whatever you consider to be personal or private away from the eyes of other people with the help of a small viewing port on the underside of the handset that can be used instead of the main screen whenever privacy is needed.

While this might be a good thing because the concept phone does not allow people around you to see what you're seeing, there's also a 'slight' disadvantage to this phone, as users who are staring through the bottom end of a mobile phone are bound to draw some unwanted attention to themselves.

Therefore, if people around you will not manage to view the text messages or videos you're viewing on your phone, you still won't manage to avoid unwanted peeking or increased curiosity of others. Needless to say, this phone will not be a great choice for those who would rather attract as little curiosity from other people as possible, or people who realize that there are other means of keeping the contents of their mobile phones private.

In fact, simply covering the mobile phone's screen with your hand might prove to be better. Other mobile phones like the Sharp W41SH come with a privacy filter and only allow the person directly in front of the phone to view what's on the screen while anyone outside the viewing angle will only be able to see a pattern pre-selected by the mobile phone's user.
