14 DAY TRIAL // The largest bowl of applesauce has been prepared for the Baltimore Running Festival this year. It was created by the Knouse foods company.
The Peach Glen producer sells Musselman's applesauce. According to World Record Academy, the company has funded the October 12 event.
The festivities took place at M&T Bank Stadium's Parking Lot C, where “Celebration Village” was set up.
Runners and bystanders all poured apple sauce from large cups and into the giant bowl, starting at 9 a.m.
The bowl has wounded up weighing 716 pounds (325 kg), but I don't know if that includes the giant spoon which appears to have been dropped in there.
A representative for Guinness World Records was on site and certified the record, awarding Knouse the title.
