Two-way sync between Microsoft Outlook Business Contact Manager 2010 and Apple’s portables

CompanionLink Software, Inc., a provider of mobile sync solutions for Microsoft Outlook, has extended support to Apple’s iPad and iOS 4-enabled devices with its two-way synchronization of Outlook Business Contact Manager 2010 for smarthones and tablet devices.

“Contacts, calendar, contact notes, opportunities, project tasks and marketing campaigns from Outlook Business Contact Manager sync to all major smartphone platforms, including Android, Apple iOS 4, Palm webOS, Windows Mobile, and BlackBerry,” reads the official announcement. “Data can be synchronized in a variety of ways – USB sync, wireless sync, or via Google and their Google Sync service. New handhelds like Motorola DROID X, Apple iPhone 4, HTC EVO 4G, Palm Pre and others are fully supported,” CompanionLink added (emphasis ours).

Those looking to sync their Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010 Business Contact Manager data to their iPhone can do so using CompanionLink and choosing either wired sync (using a USB cable) or wireless sync. All the basic features for a two-way sync can be found in CompanionLink Express, whereas CompanionLink Pro includes additional options, like the Auto Sync Timer, and others. Those who choose to sync using the wired (USB) method must  configure CompanionLink and tether their iPhone to their PC.
