One of the greatest comebacks in the computer industry came from the famous Commodore, but not in the Commodore 64 some of you may know, but in the Commodore Gaming series of highly equipped computers. If Alienware, Dell, VooDoo PC and HP were the only names that came to mind when you thought of a PC manufacturer, then to that list you can add Commodore Gaming.

The biggest thing they brought since their return wasn't their, very potent configurations, you can find powerful specs all around the web, but their C-kin feature. It allows for a user to select from, now over 100 unique designs, or a custom one-of-a-kind design, made at the user's choice, as the definitive factor that will set your computer aside from everybody else's. Commodore's C-kin includes "artistically painted (cases) using a patented dye process (...) and individually finished with a scratch proof surface."

But if this company is to make it into these very competitive times, they have to innovate (C-kin initiative, check) and offer the latest PC configurations, including high-end graphics cards such as the NVIDIA 8800GTX series, but also with mainstream models such as the NVIDIA 8600GTS.

Bala Keilman, CEO for Commodore Gaming, commented "This marks a new chapter in the history of Commodore, opening our webshop to offer great gaming PCs that are as unique as they are customizable. We're extremely excited and proud to offer our range of exceptional gaming machines and since PC gaming and online gaming is about instant entertainment, this is what we intend to deliver with machines that will satisfy everyone from the casual gamer to the professional."

Among the PC configurations available from Commodore Gaming, the Commodore XX includes an Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700 processor, a 2x1GB memory kit from Corsair's DOMINATOR series, the TWIN2X2048-8500C5D, an ASUS P5N32-E SLI motherboard, 2xNVIDIA GeForce 8800GTX running in SLI, 2x500GB Serial ATA 3Gbps hard drives with 16MB of buffer memory, linked in a RAID0 array, a 7 in 1 card reader, DVDRW, a Creative X-FI Xtremegamer sound card, a 850W ICE Cube power supply and Microsoft's Windows Vista Home Premium. To get a system such as this one, you must take out $5807, and in this price you also get a C-kin included. Sale hotspots will be available throughout the online store, and retail outlets in the UK, Germany, France and Benelux.
