The Hulk seems pleased to find Ant-Man talking to the press at the convention

Perhaps the biggest thing to come out of Comic-Con 2014, held last week in San Diego, was the “Avengers” panel that also brought almost the entire cast out to meet the fans and saw the premiere of the first footage from next year’s installment, “Age of Ultron.”

This being the case, you would think that the Marvel stars who came up on stage, Mark Ruffalo included, would be beyond getting star-struck like us mere mortals do, especially when the cameras are rolling.

Yet this is exactly what happened during an interview with HitFix, when Paul Rudd was kind enough to take a few questions about Marvel’s next big project, “Ant-Man,” in which he plays the lead.

You can see the interview embedded below. Towards the end, Mark Ruffallo makes an unexpected appearance, totally geeking out over Paul, as if he couldn’t believe that he’d be there. It was like the Hulk was freaking out over Ant-Man which, if you think about it, is a much funnier visual than this one.

Both Paul and Mark are adorable. They’re funny and they’re talented and they’re particularly good with fans, which would explain why this video has already gone viral. But let us not pretend like this was some spontaneous thing.

Both these men are Marvel stars now, which means that cross-franchise publicity is a good thing. If you look closely in the video, you will see a woman behind Paul, probably his publicist. *Puts tinfoil hat on.* The woman disappears for a brief moment and reappears right before Mark’s interruption, acting as if she’s leading the way.

This might make the whole thing less fun, but it does look like this is just a stunt meant to bring more attention to “Ant-Man.” And what do you know, it works. With Mark being this adorable, it’s no wonder.
