Comic-Con 2013 attendees had a huge surprise the other day when, at a special panel held by TV Guide, they got to meet and talk with their favorite “X Files” stars Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny, Too Fab reports.

The reunion was on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the hit show and, as such, the perfect opportunity to take a trip down memory lane and, at the same time, talk about the possibility of bringing the show back to life in one form or another.

As the e-zine puts it, both Anderson and Duchovny would reprise their beloved characters Scully and Mulder, but not for a TV continuation of the series.

They would do a movie instead, but it’d have to be a great idea to get everyone behind such a project.

They also revealed that a love scene between the characters was shot but never aired, and talked about their favorite episodes from the now cult series.
