Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, director Bill Condon and many stars of “The Twilight Saga” were on hand at Comic-Con 2011 in San Diego to talk to the press and the fans on the final two films in the franchise, “Breaking Dawn” part 1 and 2.

“Breaking Dawn Part 1” doesn’t come out until November, but fans are already starting to lose patience: they want to see how Condon managed to turn the most graphic moments in Stephenie Meyer’s original novel into a PG-13 movie.

As such, questions from the media focused mostly on this topic: the wedding night between mortal Bella (Stewart) and vampire Edward (Pattinson), the birth scene, Bella’s death and, last but not least, Jacob’s (Lautner) imprinting on the newborn.

As Wired notes, the four did their best to answer questions in a vague way – it’s not like they could give away all the secrets – while also offering something to fans, to keep them going until November.

“We did try to go as hard-core as we could,” Kristen told reporters about the birth scene, which will most likely be included in the second film, which doesn’t come out until 2012.

Lautner said that Meyer’s version “was a lot to take in,” which meant that Condon had to put in the extra time and effort to make it suitable for the “Twilight” younger audience. “The birth scene was phenomenal,” Lautner concluded.

What the young actor found a bit more challenging was his own role, especially the part where his character, a werewolf, has to imprint on the newborn half-vampire child.

“I [had to] walk into the room on the verge of killing this baby, and then: Stop, twist, and imprint… whatever that means. It was challenging,” he said.

In the same panel discussion, Condon talked about why he accepted the offer to direct “Breaking Dawn,” Stewart revealed what she has in common with her character, Bella, while the boys laughed when they were asked which were the nerdiest things about themselves.
