14 DAY TRIAL // Colorful is a somewhat less-known Chinese video card manufacturer that usually comes up with original and rather effective product designs. At this year’s Computex, Colorful presents the N2 concept.
The company reportedly calls N2 “The world’s first liquid nitrogen customized version” fan-kit.
Tucked behind the massive cooler are the heatpads that ensure good contact between the cooler body and the GPU, memory chips and the VRM components.
There is a cooling fan in the middle of the cooler that pushes air between the cooling fins and the heatpipes connected to them.
This fan can be removed and a liquid-nitrogen (LN2) evaporator can be mounted in.
This is a very useful design for enthusiasts who like experimenting with extreme overclocking, but who still want to be able to use their card in normal conditions.
