14 DAY TRIAL // A cat from Los Angeles will be taking home a Guinness World Record for longest hair. Colonel Meow is already famous online and he has a large YouTube following.
According to the Mirror, more than 1.3 million views have tuned in to watch him on his channel.
His fur measures 22.87 cm (9 inches), which is unusually long for a house cat. Owners Anne Marie Avey and Eric Rosario complain that caring for the Himalayan and Persian cross is not always an easy task.
"Literally everything in the house has hair on it, including us. I feel like I'm always vacuuming," Avey says.
According to Guinness World Records Editor-in-Chief, Craig Glenday, including the cat in the 2014 print edition of the book should encourage more of his fans to buy it.
