Ubisoft has announced that it seeks to sell a Collector's Edition for Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction, which is planned to arrive on February 26, 2010. The game is set to come to the Xbox 360 home gaming console from Microsoft and to the PC, and the limited Collector's Edition will be available for fans of the series worldwide.

The main attraction of the newly announced package, which you can see in the image attached to this article, is the Sam Fisher statue not available through any other means than by picking up the Collector's Edition.

There is also a unique SteelBook case in which you can keep your game disk and a soundtrack CD that contains all the music you will hear in the game. In addition to these physical goodies, players who get the package will also be able to use a new skin in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, called the Shadow Armor, and will also be getting early access to three weapons, the SC300, the SR2 and the MP5. A new game mode, called Infiltration, focusing on taking out all enemies without detection, is also set to be introduced.

In the new Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction, protagonist Sam Fischer is tracked and hunted by government agents, some of them part of his old Third Echelon outfit, and the resources he routinely used in his missions are now gone. The fugitive Fischer will need to tap into the underground he avoided during his career in order to find out why he is being targeted and who is behind the vast conspiracy he is beginning to uncover.

Ubisoft is emphasizing that the plot of the game has been supervised by Tom Clancy himself and that the series is set to again offer the blend of action and stealth movement, which made previous releases successful, this time mixed with a more low-tech feel and improvisation.
