14 DAY TRIAL // TRON:Legacy is already out, and while we won't make any comments on the movie itself, we will tell you, however, that we've seen quite a few promotional accessories related directly to Disney's flick being pushed onto the market, the latest we've come across being the Collector's Edition TRON Wired Controller in orange for the Xbox 360, developed by a company called PDP (Performance Designed Products). Performance Designed Products is actively involved in designing and manufacturing peripherals for all major video game platforms, including Sony PS3, PSP and Playstation Move, Nintendo Wii and DS, and Microsoft XBOX 360 and Kinect.
For this reason, it should come as no surprise that they've also come up with a couple of TRON-inspired controller (for just about every gaming platform out there), but while all of the rest have a blue outline (don't want to get into spoilers, but blue is the good guys' color in the movie), the Collector's Edition TRON Wired Controller orange for the Xbox 360 is the only one that tackles a rather different angle.
And that's because this controller represents Clu, the current dictator of the Tron world, and The Black Guard, his elite fighting force.
Only 250 pieces were made, making this an extremely Limited Edition, dedicated to the hardcore Tron collectors out there.
Light-up orange accents illuminate nighttime gaming sessions on this officially licensed Microsoft Xbox 360 controller, while, despite its sophisticated and simplistic design, the controller features precision controller parts and vibration support, performance enhancing counters and design, and rubber-grips with a soft-touch finish.
Despite being a limited-edition product, the Collector's Edition TRON Wired Controller in orange for the Xbox 360 is actually quite affordable, selling for just around 50 US dollars (while supplies last, of course, and we're willing to bet that they won't last for long).
