News from the United Kingdom says that, should things go as planned, it will not be long until an impressive collection of flesh-eating plants goes on display at the country's Cheshire Zoo.

Click Green tells us that, presently, this facility is home to representatives of over 100 different species of carnivorous plants.

Given the fact that just a little over 150 species of such plants have until now been documented by science, there is little denying that the zoo really has something to be proud of.

The same source tells us that, despite the fact that it currently houses over 2,000 flesh-eating plants, Cheshire Zoo plans to put just some of them on display.

According to zoo curator Mark Sparrow, the plants that the public will be lucky enough to see will be included in the Chester Zoo's new Bloom event that begins this February.
