Seeing as how reviews for Michael Jackson's second posthumous album, “Xscape,” have been mixed, Epic Records chairman L.A. Reid has decided that what is needed is a hefty dose of modern music, so he has added Justin Bieber to the mix.

The producer has made public the fact that he intends to put out a “really special” duet using Justin Bieber and Michael Jackson's vocals. Reid has told Access Hollywood (via Billboard), “I signed Justin, so I feel a loyalty. I feel like I should protect him. That’s my relationship with him.”

He's referring to a song that leaked online last year and which featured the vocals of both Michael and Justin, but it was quickly removed. Reid explains that “Slave 2 The Rhythm' didn't include him per my direction. If it hadn't been leaked, it would have been featured but it sort of took the wrong turn. But you know what? We're gonna revisit that and do something really special with Justin Bieber and Michael.”

As it stands, the song did appear on the album “Xscape” but without Bieber's voice on the track. Justin has been spending a lot of time in the studio lately, although he's made it clear that he's aiming for a more hip-hop sound, being photographed together with some of the heavyweights of the industry.
