Exciting casual game for parents and kids to enjoy

Unlike your usual casual game development company, Codeminion has a different approach, since it tries to create games that are fun to play both for people in their mid-thirties, as well as their hardcore children. And this is great, since I was getting kind of tired to consider casual games repetitive, boring, childish Cooking Mamas or Dinner Dashes.

So, the introduction being made, we should tell you now that Codeminion was secretly working on a project they've called Saqqarah, which is described as "a mind teasing game with an adventure movie feel to it and of length and production values not seen in the casual industry before". Unfortunately, due to the fact that the three screenshots released are not at all relevant, we can't say yet if the game will actually be an adventure one or something else. It doesn't really matter too much at the moment since it looks good and it promises to be even better than we're expecting it to be.

"From an average casual game you expect simplistic presentation and around 8 hours of game play. The industry seems to be focused mainly on quantity. We wanted to produce something that could match AAA titles in both presentation and length. For us the term *casual* should describe games that are accessible to *everyone*. Fun to play for non-gamer women in their thirties, as well as for their teenage hardcore gamer sons," says Konrad Olesiewicz, Codeminion's co-owner and game producer.

So everything looks fine and we're waiting for more details about this exciting project. However we can't do anything but wonder why is this company called Codeminion? Is it a smaller Codemaster? Is it actually Codemasters, undercover, or something like that and they weren't too inspired in choosing the name? Hmpf... I guess it's actually just me going crazy again. It must be the Saqqarah effect.
