14 DAY TRIAL // Coca Cola caused quite a ruckus online with its ad for the Super Bowl XLVII, which took place last Sunday but, as the video above can confirm, we’re not done yet. The clip features some of the languages that didn’t make the cut into the ad that aired during the big game.
The controversy around the “It’s Beautiful” ad centered on the fact that it featured “America the Beautiful” sung in various languages, which many considered sacrilegious because it’s only “supposed” to be sung in English.
The fizzy drink giant is still rolling out the campaign as scheduled despite the outrage, but that’s not stopping the Internet from having some fun at the expense of those who found it offensive in the first place.
Courtesy of comedy troupe Garlic Jackson, the parody video includes “America the Beautiful” sung in Klingon and Dothraki, fictional languages from two very successful television series (“Star Trek” and “Game of Thrones” respectively), but also in Dolphin, Morse, hieroglyphics, and the gibberish sign language used by the interpreter at Nelson Mandela’s funerals.
Oh, and the Bear Attack language!
