After making a name for herself as Robin Scherbatsky on “How I Met Your Mother” since 2005, Cobie Smulders is thinking about a more permanent change towards the role of Agent Maria Hill. The actress has been in the Marvel Universe since 2012 when she made her debut in “The Avengers,” followed by “Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”

Cobie seems to enjoy playing the role of Maria Hill as she is scheduled to appear in next year's “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and rumors say that she will also be part of the “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” Maria Hill has a reputation for being tough-minded and pragmatic, being an important player in The Avengers' plan.

“I think I’m in 'Avengers 2,' but it is very top secret. I hope I’m in Avengers 2. I didn’t get my invitation yet. Well, actually, they know I’m in it but they don’t know to what degree I’m in it,” Cobie tells Coming Soon.

We will certainly see Maria Hill in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” but it is still unknown if it will be a cameo or a full appearance.

When talking about the script, Cobie mentions that she is really excited about the new characters introduced in the Marvel Universe, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, besides the fact that “the bad guy is going to be very interesting.”

“How I Met Your Mother” is now at its ninth season, and apparently this will be Robin's last season if the series does not end in spring as stated. The series was supposed to end last year, but producers decided on extending it for one more season.

“It hasn't quite hit me yet. I do feel like after Christmas, when we have only six episodes to shoot that it will start to get me,” Cobie says for the same publication.

Until “Avengers: Age of Ultron” hits the big screen on May 5, 2015, Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division's Deputy Director has plenty of chances of appearing in other Marvel productions, starting with the newly released series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
