We were quite sure that Club 3D was going to push their own Radeon HD 6990 card onto the market, given their extensive experience in the field, and sure enough, that was exactly the case, with the company officially announcing their own take on the Antilles-based graphics card.

Unfortunately, much as in the case of the other HD 6990 models we've seen introduced today, the Club 3D card doesn't really offer any exciting particular features, the company, much in the same way as all of the other AMD partners around, opting to go simply for the stock configuration.

Nevertheless, it's interesting to note that Club 3D actually provides some interesting info pertaining to certain important components of the new Radeon card, such as the built-in Dual Vapor Chamber cooling solution, that delivers enhanced cooling and less noise, or the programmable Volterra regulators, that deliver an enhanced level of power efficiency, higher current capacity and overclocking features.

However, even in its basic configuration, the Radeon HD 6990 remains a formidable graphics solution, clearly taking over the “world's fastest graphics card” title from its predecessor, the HD 5770, while in the same time simply smashing single-GPU cards.

In fact, according to Club 3D, within their tests, the card managed to run 67 percent faster than a comparable single-GPU solution in overclocked mode, the estimated efficiency increase levels varrying between 60 and 100 percent, depending on the specific application being ran.

Last, but certainly not least, we'll have to say that the Club 3D Radeon HD 6990 dual-GPU graphics card is one of the more affordable such products around, the device selling for around 600 Euro (for which, beside the card itself, users will also get the CrossFireX Bridge Interconnect, a Driver & E-Manual CD and a Quick install guide, without any additional output adapters, all of which are available separately).
