Keepers hope Sang Dao will one day become Tien's girlfriend

Tien, a clouded leopard cub born at the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium in Washington, US now has a new playmate, a five-and-a-half-month-old adorable girl cub named Sang Dao.

Arranged marriages tend to be frowned upon among humans, yet they are quite common among zoo animals.

Thus, keepers at the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium say that the only reason they introduced Tien to Sang Dao is because they hope the two will one day become boyfriend and girlfriend.

In time, maybe they'll even consider starting a family together.

Zoo Borns tells us that Tien's future bride arrived in Washington only a few days ago, on September 12.

She has already been introduced to Tien, and the cub seems to have taken a keen interest in getting to know her better. Luckily, his feelings appear to be reciprocated.

Leopards belonging to this species usually have their first litter when they are about two years old. Here's hoping Tien and Sang Dao won't get into a fight and break up until then.
