14 DAY TRIAL // Dogs have been known to be the most loyal pets since time immemorial and never cease to amaze us. There were many cases in which they saved people’s lives in critical situations, but it is even more outstanding when a dog manages to save his own life.
The video included above shows another of those incredible moments when dogs prove their intelligence and strength.
In the clip, we can see how a team of the society for the protection of animals (SPANS) in Novi Sad, Serbia, tries to rescue a pooch trapped in a 4m (13ft) hole. It is believed that the dog was thrown down that hole, but luckily for him, rescue workers were called to the scene and saved him.
Their plan was to lower a rope down to try and put it around the dog before pulling him out. But their rescue operation was made much easier by the clever animal that decided to assist his rescuers. He bit and held on to the cable until he was pulled out of the hole.
The poor dog was certainly very scared down there, but he showed his determination to get out by helping the rescue team in pulling him out.
Everybody was glad that the incident ended happily, but the dog is still looking for a permanent home, Metro reports.
