Anyone wondering where they might find some means to set up wireless networks may want to look at Clearwire's product portfolio, especially the two latest products to leave its labs.

Clearwire has just announced the availability of the CLEAR Spot Voyager personal hotspot and the CLEAR Hub Express 4G modem/ wireless router.

The Clear Hub Express gives users access to 4G mobile broadband, for wireless Internet access, and doesn't need anything else to set up a 4G hotspot in an office or home.

The reason for that is the existence of a built-in wireless router that immediately starts a Wi-Fi network with no need for special set-up or installation.

Meanwhile, the CLEAR Spot Voyager is a pure personal hotspot that can maintain connection to up to eight devices at once. Its battery life lasts more than six hours.

Among the supported consumer electronics devices, there are smartphones, portable gaming devices, laptops, the iPhone, iPod Touch, the iPad and (probably) every other Wi-Fi tablet.

“Clearwire has been a leader in the adoption of the 4G personal hotspot and fixed modem categories since our first product launches in early 2009,” said Dow Draper, senior vice president and general manager - CLEAR.

“We continue to set the pace in the industry by offering innovative products that deliver high-speed 4G Internet service that is easy to set up and affordable. These devices offer today’s mobile and home users, and the millions of wi-fi products in use across the country, even broader access to CLEAR’s 4G take-it-with-you Internet.”

The CLEAR Spot Voyager measures 2.6 x 2.6 inches (66.04 x 66.04 mm) and has a price of $124.99 / 94.72 Euro.

Meanwhile, the CLEAR Hub Express measures 6.1 x 9.3 x 3.7 inches (155 x 236 x 94 mm) and sells for the sum of $99.99 / 75.77 Euro. Go to the CLEAR website to check them out, along with the available data plans.
