It goes well with both AMD and Intel central processing units

Since another week has passed, EK Water Blocks saw fit to release a new waterblock for central processing units, one that, supposedly, sits at the summit of all the others: EK Supremacy.

EK-Supremacy isn't a new product. This is more of a revision of the original, based on what buyers said of the first batch.

Indeed, this is one of those few products that are made based, in part, on customer feedback. EK recently held the EK Thinkcell collaboration between EK and the water cooling community.

A successor to the EK-Supreme HF waterblock launched back in 2010, the EK-Supremacy has a 20% higher flow and CPU temperatures lower by 2 degrees Celsius.

“EK-Supremacy is a result of round clock development, years of experience and rigorous testing,” EK claims. “As a new EK flagship this product again combines top hydraulic and thermal performance.”

The product fits all modern CPU sockets, thanks to the mounting mechanism, and it doesn't even need special tools.

In fact, different types of jet plates ensure the best contact with the integrated heatspreader (IHS) of the central processor.

The base is made of copper (cold plate) and is polished, giving it a mirror finish, lots of thin channels for the cooling liquid to go through (once it passes through the jet plate's nozzle) and four possible materials for the top.

This is actually what EK places emphasis on in its press release: even those who already own an EK-Supremacy can update it to one of the new designs. The four possibilities are Copper Plexi, Copper Acetal, Nickel Plexi, Nickel Acetal. Replacement POM Acetal or Acrylic Clean CSQ water block tops are available for €14.95 / $19.64.

For those who've forgotten, the full product costs €59.95 / $78.74. Visit this page for all the options (EK-Supremacy, EK-Supremacy Clean CSQ, EK-Supremacy – Acetal, etc.).
