Android mobile phone users out there have now a new mobile game to enjoy on their devices, coming straight from OrangePixel, namely Jumpy. The new title comes as the company's tribute to the classic 80’s run and jump game genre.

“We just released Jumpy onto the Android market complete with OpenFeint integration! It now comes with global rankings and a bunch of achievements! This is our little tribute to the classics like Mario and Sonic, that same style of gameplay only this time it runs on your Android device,” the company announced.

The new Jumpy for Android game from OrangePixel takes advantage of the phone’s tilt sensors and touch screen to offer an addictive experience.

Players would have to guide Jumpy through a number of no less than twelve levels, which have been spread across four worlds, the game's developers note.

Among the goodies that have been packed inside the new title, we can count bright 8-bit pixel-art graphics, along with various monsters and hidden areas.

Moreover, the company notes that a fast game play is also there, and that users should benefit from a quite interesting challenge when it comes to Jumpy, regardless whether casual or hard core platform gamers are involved.

Some of the main features of this game include:

- 8 bit pixel-art graphics; using a special trick to get a low-resolution feeling on all Android devices - Random levels; making every game session a new but familiar experience - Four interesting worlds with new challenges and an increasing difficulty - Online rankings using OpenFeint - A collection of challenging and unlock-able achievements - Great retro chip-style sound effects

The OpenFeint integration is another highly appealing feature of the new mobile game for Android, as it offers access to online high scores and unlock-able achievements.

In addition to the full game, the company added to the Android Market a Lite version of Jumpy, so as to offer users the possibility to try it out for free.
