ClamTk, a GUI frontend for ClamAV using Perl and Gtk libraries developed to make the life of Linux users a lot easier, is now at version 5.05.

Even if it's just a frontend, ClamTk still provides the same functionality as the one that only runs in a terminal. It's a lot friendlier than its terminal counterpart and it even inserts itself in the right click menus so that it's easily accessible.

According to the changelog, the Preferences now use single or double click in the main interface on the icons, the Analysis FileChooserButton reset bug has been fixed, a small encoding fix for Scan.pm and Quarantine.pm has been implemented, and a minor fix has been added to use current version, not 5.00, in $ua (Analysis.pm).

Also, regex is now working fine when selecting directories, the last remnants of Gtk2::Tooltips have been removed, a zenity portion that was never used has been removed, a number of non-Italian strings have been removed from the Italian (it) language file, some words have been standardized in Update.pm, and quite a few language files have been updated.

Check the official website for a complete backlog of changes and new features in this application. You can download ClamTk 5.05 right now from Softpedia.
