As previously announced, Chinese Android tablets powered by MediaTek processors are now enjoying Android 4.4. KitKat treatment.

It’s the case of the Chuwi VX3 which runs a nifty octa-core processor and offers phone-calling capabilities on top of everything.

As you might expect from a Chinese device like this, the slate retails for only $217 / €158, but for this decent amount of money you’ll be getting a nice set of specs.

As noted by GizChina, the 7-inch slate offers 1920 x 1080 FHD display and draws power from an octa-core MT6592 processor combined with 2GB of RAM and backed up by 16GB of internal storage.

Other functionalities include dual SIM, which allows the tablet to connect via Wi-Fi, GSM or 3G networks, two cameras (8MP on the back and 2MP in front), HDMI out, GPS and G-Sensor.

The device seems to be very sleek judging by the promotional photos, and it actually looks like a very good deal. VX3 also has Android 4.4 KitKat and offers a decent 3000 mAh battery which should sustain your activities long enough.

The good news is that you don’t have to be living in China to be getting your hands on this new baby, as the tablet can be ordered internationally online via Orientdeal.
