The Chuwi tablet borrows design cues from the LG G 2, but not only

Every good tech product must have a Chinese replica, seems to be the dogma these days. Huawei has borrowed some of the design elements of HTC One for one of its tablets, while Xiaomi blatantly copied the iPad Mini and iPhone 5C, with its MiPad.

Now, another Chinese manufacturer is offering a tablet that puts the physical buttons on the back of the device, thus copying one of the characteristics of the LG G2. The new Chuwi V88 makes use of a pretty worthy quad-core Rockchip chipset, the RK3288, reports Tablet-News.

The overall design is pretty much akin to the iPad Mini, with 4:3 aspect ratio and the resolution is one to match at 2048 x 1536 pixels. Under the hood, the tablet relies on the Cortex A17 architecture, which is said to be capable of delivering twice the performance of the Cortex A9.

Moreover, the device is fitted with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The Chuwi V88 offers a 7.9-inch format boasting a rounded back. Judging by the pictures detailing the product, it’s also a very sleek device with very thin bezels on the side.

Anyway, we’re not given any details regarding pricing specifications or when the tablet will be out and about, but I can guess it’s going to arrive with a fair price tag.
