The Ghost Panel, utilized by cybercriminals who rely on ZeuS to complete their malicious campaigns, now benefits from a graphical redesign that tries to bring the Christmas spirit into the black hearts of hackers.

Underground forums now advertise the classic Ghost web panel with a deferent skin that says “Merry Christmas ZeuS,” reports Trend Micro.

The malevolent Trojan went through a lot of changes lately which considerably improve the way it performs and the way it manages to stay alive even if its C&C server is moved or shut down.

Since the malware’s code became available for anyone, a lot of small-time cybercriminals started using it to steal bank account details from unsuspecting Internet users. This latest skin redesign only proves that business is going well for them, especially if we consider the fact that they can spend time to tinker with its design.
