An integral part of the Fleetwood Mac rock band, Christine McVie, has returned to the line-up after a 16-year-long absence from the stage. The happy band members have all welcomed her back with open arms.

“We're thrilled,” says co-founder and drummer Mick Fleetwood in an interview with People. “She's just the dearest of friends and we've remained that way always. We've always missed Chris. To have a key, key member return to the fold is huge. It's really not happened, to my knowledge in any shape or form, on this level.”

Christine is responsible for some of the band's biggest hits like “Little Lies” and “Say You Love Me” and is also excited about making her comeback to the stage, adding, “honestly could never in my wildest dreams have thought I could return to the band. It's just a dream come true. I go to bed going, ‘This is so great. This is what I've been yearning for all these years and I didn't know it.’ We're family. We're very lucky.”

The news of her return was first made public late last year, during a concert, when Mick came on stage and announced that the band was getting back to its original line-up. Fleetwood Mac is going to start a new tour this fall, “On With the Show,” and has even hinted towards a new album.
