14 DAY TRIAL // Back when she was younger and had yet to achieve international fame, and, most importantly, before she became known for her generous curves and red hair, Christina Hendricks posed for Playboy magazine. The photos are now out.
Dressed in a silver two-piece swimsuit, with a straight blonde wig on (though she’s a natural blonde, so it may also be the real deal), and looking very slim, Hendricks is barely recognizable in the pics for the men’s magazine.
There are two photos, which include two other blonde models as well, what looks like a drunk clown and a very ripped, hunky male model.
The photospread ran in the July 1999 issue and was meant to accompany and illustrate a story on “summer shooter” parties.
The First Post says the pictures emerged on Twitter, with someone from the magazine unearthing them and offering them to fans.
“Playboy posted the photo as a trivia question on its Twitter feed, asking: ‘Who is the famous actress in this photo from the July 1999 issue?’” TFP writes.
“At the time of original publication, Hendricks, who is a natural blonde, was a struggling 24-year-old actress getting by on appearances in music videos and bit parts in obscure TV movies such as Sorority,” says the same e-zine.
Hendricks herself has not responded in any way to the unearthing of the two photos she probably believed would never see the light of day again, but suffice it to say that fans are happy that Playboy recalled the spread.
Hendricks, as it’s already well known, is now starring on the incredibly popular “Mad Men” television series, while also riding high the wave with excellent media for being a woman with curves who redefines the concept of beauty in Hollywood.
However, she’s not that keen on people paying attention to her body, since she’d rather they focused on her work instead. With these new photos, chances of that happening soon have considerably gone down.
