14 DAY TRIAL // It's uncertain how many people out there are actually gearing up for the new Jack Ryan movie starring Chris Pine, but the producers of the film decided to offer an extended clip which captures a fight scene in the toilet of a Russian hotel.
Though not as intense and as well executed as the fight scenes in the Bourne films or even in the latest James Bond films, fans of the Tom Clancy will be glad to see Ryan's son earning his chops in the spy business.
Judging from this clip, there's not a lot of production value at this point, with cheap Russian accents, guns with endless streams of bullets and highly choreographed martial arts scenes. Also, it seems that “Shadow Recruit” will be making use of just about every spy movie stereotype out there.
Could the reboot of the Ryan franchise be just as bad as “Die Hard 5” or “Jack Reacher”? Only time and box office earnings will tell.
