Once he was done with “The Dark Knight Rises,” Chris Nolan announced he would be taking some time off. His next project is “Interstellar,” which starts shooting this year for a late 2014 release, and is already casting.

And boy does it already have an impressive cast!

Slash Film reports that Ellen Burstyn and John Lithgow have been attached to the project.

Other stars who have signed on for roles include Nolan regulars Michael Caine and Anne Hathaway, Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck, Bill Irwin, Timothee Chalamet, and Mackenzie Foy.

The script, which is being kept close under wraps (which makes sense, since we’re talking about Nolan here), was penned by Chris and Jonathan Nolan, using the theories of physicist Kip Thorne as inspiration.

Some time ago, reports said that the film would be about a “group of explorers [who] travel through a wormhole,” but that’s still pending confirmation.

Composer Hans Zimmer and cinematographer Hoyte Van Hotyema, two more longtime Nolan collaborators, are also on board. This is feels like a family reunion a bit.
