Natalie Portman just released a juicy tidbit from the set of “ Thor: The Dark Wold,” which is currently still doing well at the box office. This might turn out to change your perspective on the on-screen relationship between the two main stars.

As it turns out, the final kiss scene of the film is not between Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman, as would be expected, but between Chris and his very blond and very lovely wife, Elsa Pataki. It's not that Elsa was jealous or anything, it was just the Natalie wasn't at the moment on the set.

Natalie explains that there was a scheduling conflict which left her unable to attend the shooting of the newest Marvel movie, right when they were re-shooting the final scenes.

Fortunately, Chris's wife happened to be present on the set and didn't hesitate to don Natalie's costume and a wig, planting a big, passionate one on her husband's lips, while the cameras were rolling.

“That's why it was so passionate” completes Portman in an interview for the New York Daily News, who was working at the time on her own film while the cast and crew were busy in Hong Kong.

Luckily for everyone, Elsa is not just a pretty face, she also happens to be an actress since 1997, which worked out perfectly, and no one in the movie theater was any wiser.

“It was such a perfect solution, wasn't it?” concludes Natalie. In case you haven't seen “Thor: The Dark World,” head to the nearest cinema near you, it still might be running and watch the film knowing that at the end, it's not Dr. Jane Foster under that mop of hair Thor is holding tight, but his earth-wife in disguise.
