With his music career on a roll, Chris Brown is getting ready to get into movies seriously. He’s just landed the lead part in an upcoming romantic comedy, based on the bestseller “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man.”

Though whatever he does these days seems bound to generate controversy, Brown is showing clear signs that he’s determined not to let aspects of his personal life – or how much attention they get in the press –, ruin his career.

As such, he’s on for one of the four leading male parts in the comedy “Think Like a Man,” which should arrive in movie theaters in the spring of 2012, The Huffington Post informs.

“Chris Brown is set to star in the anticipated film adaptation of Steve Harvey’s New York Times best-selling book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man,” the publication reports.

“Harvey’s book delves into what men really think about love, relationships and commitment. Harvey originally intended for his 2009 best-selling book to help women better understand the men in their lives by giving them advice on how to deal with their behavior and avoid drama,” the Post further writes.

In the film, this attempt at understanding their men will push the ladies even farther apart from them.

“The film adaptation, titled ‘Think Like a Man,’ will center on four friends who have their love lives shaken up when the women they are pursuing buy Steve Harvey’s book and start considering his advice,” the Post says.

Brown will be joined onscreen by Gabrielle Union, Kevin Hart, Regina Hall, Michael Ealy, Lala Vasquez and Jerry Ferrara, notes the same media outlet.

Also in 2012, Chris has another movie coming out. “Phenom” will tell the story of an NBC hotshot with a rather shady past, and is currently listed as in pre-production.
