News of Chris Brown having a seizure have spread like wildfire, but sources close to the singer explain that he is feeling better.

Brown was in the studio when he collapsed as a result of heat and dehydration. The news emerged after someone called 911 at 1 a.m. on August 8.

Emergency services were called in at the Record Planet recording studios, but the artist refused to be treated.

“He’s doing all right and he’s resting now,” an unidentified friend tells Hollywood Life.

Someone in his group called 911 after he appeared to be losing consciousness, but he came to right away.

“It wasn’t a seizure. [...] He just felt light-headed and dehydrated and fell on the ground. It scared us, but in seconds he was talking, saying he was all right. When we saw him falling, we didn’t know what was up so we called 911,” the source clarifies.

Meanwhile, Brown's friends and family tweeted about the incident and drew support from other stars.

“It’s such a shame that y’all be making jokes about Chris Brown having a seizure,” comedian Kevin Hart posted.

Karrueche Tran put up “Prayers all day” as her status on the same day.

“A lot on my mind today .. I need a hug,” she wrote. Russell Simmon responded by also tweeting “Prayers for Chris Brown.”

His mother, Joyce Hawkins, let everyone know that she would be flying to Los Angeles to check on her son.

“GOD IS WITH YOU ANGEL, AND MOM IS TOO,” she posted.

The news comes after Brown's announcement about leaving the music business after constantly being reminded about his assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna.

“Don’t worry mainstream America. After this X album, it’ll probably be my last album. … Being famous is amazing when it’s for ur music and talent. I’m tired of being famous for a mistake I made when i was 18. I’m cool & over it!” Chris tweeted.
