If reproduction is the ultimate form of admiration, then we really think that at least some Chinese engineers are the biggest Apple fans on Earth, especially those behind the “Win7pad”, the latest iPad clone to have made its way onto the Chinese market.

As Giz In China reports, the overall external design of the Win7pad is very, very similar to the one of the original Internet tablet developed by Apple, starting with the size (9.7-inch display) and continuing with the body, which is very similar to that of the iPad, apart from the appearance of a few extra buttons, required for properly running the Windows 7 operating system.

However, we're not apparently talking about some second-hand, complete knock-off here, given the fact that the 9.7-inch multi-touch display is apparently manufactured by LG Display. Plus, on both sides of the 30-pinc dock connector, you'll be able to easily notice a couple of speakers, while the side also features a volume rocker and screen lock switch along with a micro SD card reader and HDMI out. While the exterior of the Win7pad might look more or less the same as that of the iPad, things are actually quite different as far as the internal configuration is concerned, the device coming equipped with an Intel Atom Z510 1.1 GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM memory and 16GB of onboard storage, just about everything it needs in order to run Windows 7 Started edition in a fairly OK manner. Furthermore, we'll also have to mention that the iPad clone is powered by a single 3200 mAh Li-on battery, while actually maintaining to keep its weight under that of the original, namely at just around 640 grams. Unfortunately, while an official price point for the Win7pad has not yet been announced, rumor has it that it will sell for around 3000 Yuan ($450) in China, which is 2000 Yuan less than the base model iPad.
