Actress Jessica Alba is distressed by reports coming in all the way from China, saying a woman who would only identify herself as Xiaoqing is determined to undergo plastic surgery to get her eyes and mouth and, thus, look just like her. Her boyfriend reportedly was a huge Alba fan and the young Chinese woman sees this as the only way to get him back, the New York Daily News says.

It’s not uncommon for diehard fans to want to look like their idols, but this is taking things too far, reports in the US media are saying. The young woman dated her now-ex for about a year and a half, and even allowed herself to be talked into wearing a blonde wig that he bought her for Christmas. Since she got tired of dressing a certain way and of always trying to copy Alba in everything she did, her boyfriend broke up with her and she’s now trying to get him back by making herself more like the Hollywood actress.

The problem is, Jessica Alba herself says, having gotten wind of what she was planning to do, if real love was the issue, he would have loved her as she was and would never ask her to change herself. “I think you should never have to change yourself like that. If somebody loves you, they’ll love you no matter what,” Alba says in a recent interview cited by the aforementioned publication.

“Still, she thinks the procedure is worth it to win back the heart of her ex-boyfriend, who is a huge Alba fan. The woman says her former beau adorned the walls of their home with Alba’s images and would often hint he wished she looked more like her. The couple dated for a year and a half but broke up a month ago when the 28-year-old’s obsession with the star got to be too much. ‘My friends... kept consoling me, but it did not work, so they suggested I do plastic surgery to look like [Jessica Alba],’ she told Reuters,” the NY Daily News further says.

So far, the young Chinese woman has remained unmoved in her decision to get surgery on her eyes and mouth to look more like Jessica Alba. The fact that the clinic she went to is offering to do all the procedures free of charge to show off its staff’s skills and expertise is probably weighing heavy in the balance as well. Below is the young woman in question explaining how she hopes her surgically altered looks will get her man back.
