Fancy an Ultrabook but you can’t squeeze one in your budget at the moment? Chinese manufacturers won’t let your wish go unfulfilled this holiday season.

A super-cheap Ultrabook of sorts has been spotted in the wild and it ships to the US for just $142 / €103 (plus shipping taxes).

The device is manufactured by Shenzhen Honlin and apparently boasts a 13.3-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, reports Notebook Italia. Under the hood, the producer has slipped in a WonderMedia WM8880 dual-core ARM Cortex A9 clocked at 1.5GHz couple with 1GB of RAM (2GB or RAM option is also available) and Mali-400 MP2 GPU.

All the usual functionalities are provided like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G (via external USB dongle), HDMI out, Ethernet and USB 2.0. The 3000 mAh battery should last for up to 6 hours of typical use, which is pretty good for a low-cost offering like this.

The laptop runs Android 4.2, but based on the Aliexpress description (where you can order the device) the product might also support Windows.

This is possibly one of the cheapest Ultrabooks on the market today and to see we’re not kidding, here are its dimensions. The device is 32.8 x 23 x 2.8 cm / 12.9 x 9 x 1.1 inches and weighs 1.1 kg / 2.4 lbs.

China is offering another peculiar device, with an amalgam of functions embedded, but we’re actually curious how a device like this works.
