Price is the main focus point, which allows these companies to grow and stay alive

There’s a reason tablets are spreading like wide-fire everywhere. China-based white-box tablet vendors, for example, sell them with skimpy price tags, aiming to make everybody out there a slate user.

Some white-box vendors have even managed to ship more than 200,000 units per month, something that has apparently prompted brand vendors to axe off their prices to reach the $129-$149 / €94 - €109 margin, sources familiar with the matter have said to DigiTimes.

Also, mid-range vendors manage to ship out about 50,000-150,000 tablets per month, helping preserve the existence of the white-box clan.

That doesn’t mean that white-box tablet manufacturers are all nice and cozy. On the contrary, competition is fierce and most companies have to find a way to create a viable business model that will allow them to improve and innovate their product qualities. Those unable to do that, face sure extinction.
